Sea Temperature: dont know
Weather: squall

Distance Covered:

rain all morning and a bit of wind as i launched Shem out on his sonic proir to his lesson.
borrowing the sonic for a trial ,thanks to Shem, the wind promptly dropped and spent the next half hour aawaiting the arrival of the squall in the distance.when it came at least hals an hour blasting about in the rain.
sonic bar pressure was so light sometimes i was pulling in the whole kite! unfortunately i was not going up wind as i should and after the kites front end gave way twice i came in for Shem to check it out; just a very soft front tube! got to keep them rock hard then. found the kite good at handling the gusts ,completely different style of flying to traditional C kites; the kite flys right at the edge of the window, takes a bit of getting used to especially when it is hovering overhead, looks and feels like it will luff at any minute, but it dont!
did not feel at home with the bar system though, well the sheeting system really, much prefer the crossbow more traditional tuning/sheeting system, but thats just a personal thing.
.will be looking to see improvements in the 3 rd or 4th generation kites and will hang on to my yargas untill then cause i like them!
good haslf hour though and again still dry and warm when i had finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 stars!!!!!!!
oh looks like the dry suite thing is catching on; this winters fashon icon?
